“It is through living that we discover ourselves, at the same time as we discover the world around us.”
― Henri Cartier-Bresson
Hi, I’m Danielle. Though some might call me Dani.
My journey is shaped by two passions: helping others and capturing moments. With a background in both counseling and photography, I aim to create spaces for growth and celebrate life’s special moments. Each practice fulfills a different part of who I am, and I’m grateful to be able to share them with you.
Counseling
My path to counseling was shaped by the profound effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which sparked a deeper desire in me to understand how our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual selves interact and adapt during times of crisis. I recognized a growing need for young people and families to be supported in ways that foster resilience and self-understanding.
As a master’s degree graduate of Counseling Psychology, I’ve dedicated myself to working with young people, families, and individuals facing challenging times. In my practice, I incorporate skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but my approach is ultimately holistic and mindful, treating each person as a whole being. My goal is to empower individuals not only to rediscover themselves but to feel motivated and equipped to keep moving forward, no matter the challenges they face.
Photography
My love for photography began before I ever picked up a camera; it’s a family legacy. Growing up, I remember watching my grandmother develop film in her home darkroom, a mysterious and magical process that left a lasting impression. My mom’s photo albums were a cherished way to revisit memories, and it wasn’t long before I wanted to capture those memories myself.
I started learning photography through film classes in high school, where I first learned to slow down and focus on the details that make an image come alive. I eventually transitioned to digital, getting my first Canon EOS Rebel in college, and haven’t looked back since. Photography remains my creative outlet, a way to capture and celebrate people—their personalities, emotions, and precious connections. I’m here to help you capture what matters to you, creating memories that can be cherished for generations.
